"I consistently tie my creative principle to the narrative approach. Regardless of whether it is about testimonies, which I find in my environment, or whether I register them in a book, a film or a brief text. The key is that the theme is challenging enough to trigger my creative charge. However, in depicting the selected topics, I do not merely transfer these images into another medium in an illustrative way, although I use an entirely realist manner. Rather, I re-interpret the themes regularly by infusing them with personal comments, establishing my own artistic standpoint towards the individual theme expressed."

After graduating in 2007, Tina Dobrajc (1984) her MFA degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, with a thesis titled Portrait: Fetish and Image. Since 2014, she has been self-employed in culture as an independent artist in the field of painting, spatial installations and video. Occasionally she also works in costume- and theater set design, as well as in illustration, increasingly since 2014. In 2011, she was among the finalists of the ESSL Art Award, and in 2015 she received the Jakopič Award for young artists. She lives and works in Škofja Loka.
