ACE KIBLA and Games Slovenia have recently organized a course for creatives, artists, and storytellers. Aspiring young game developers have created a set of their own games, which will be presented and tested at the KIBLX festival. All the games were created using Stencyl, which employs a Scratch-inspired block builder system instead of coding. This program entails all the necessary elements needed to recreate the physics, movement, animation, sound, and mechanics of a game.
Žiga Pavlovič (1987) is an interaction designer, a MA student of IxD at the FH Joanneum in Graz, Austria, a member of Games Slovenia, and a promoter of the medium of computer games and the unique communication techniques they facilitate. In his projects he applies technologies of augmented and virtual reality using the Kinect motion capture sensor. In 2014 and 2016 he organized the Global Game Jam event in Maribor, as well as monthly game developers' meetings in Ljubljana in the framework of Games Slovenia.
Games Slovenia (http://gamesslovenia.si/si/), with the official title Društvo razvijalcev iger Slovenije, is a formal entity of the SloGameDev community, established in May 2015 with the aim of connecting and disseminating the knowledge of computer game development in Slovenia. With the same goal they are organizing the Slovenian Games Conference each year in Ljubljana, as well as monthly game developers' meetings and various lectures on related topics.
